Last month, we treated ourselves with kindness, indulged in some holiday treats, and gave ourselves extra time to spend with our loved ones. Now, it’s a new year, and we can continue this trend of being kind to ourselves as we work to find our way back to our healthy habits and even create some new ones along the way.
After ringing in 2022, now is the perfect time to tackle hit up our top viewed favorite classes from 2021! With a huge selection of Stax classes to choose from, you can try something new each day. Alternate between strength training and cardio for a complete fitness overhaul and start the new year right.
Unlimited Benefits with Strength Training
Many people focus on strength training to make them look more toned, but what we really love about strength training is all of the health benefits that come along with it. You won’t just look better, you’ll feel better, and you’ll get stronger - we don’t need any help opening up that pickle jar this year!
On top of increasing muscle mass, strength training:
Improves our flexibility and mobility
Increases bone density
Helps maintain and increases our balance
There are just as many mental benefits as well, like higher self-esteem and lower levels of depression or anxiety. Basically, strength training benefits your body, mind, and soul, so you don’t want to skip it!
Stax Sculpt Classes
With your Stax membership, you have unlimited access to our live-streamed classes and our Sculpt Library, so you’ll never run out of fun and engaging strength training options. Our classes are built to be stacked, so you can dig deep and give your body exactly what it needs!
Start with an intense but short cardio warm-up to get your blood pumping and then stack on a full-body workout or target a specific area that you want to work on. Don’t forget a cool down at the end of your workout to bring your heart rate back to normal.
To get your workout started, warm up with a quick and dirty cardio class combined with mobility. These warm-ups will get your heart rate pumping, bring blood flow to your muscles, and loosen up your joints, preventing injury and post-workout muscle soreness.

Don’t forget how important cool downs are! A proper cool down is equally important for strength training and cardio, so stack on one of these classes at the end of every workout.
5 or 7 Min Cool Down: This gradual recovery will help bring your heart rate and breathing back to a normal rate, plus help you relax a bit before going about your day.
9/10/12/15 Min Stretch: Don’t forget to get a good stretch in after your workout. You can choose however long you have to spare, but don’t skimp here! Stretching will prevent achy muscles and lower your chance of injury long term.
Spin Your Way to Success
We're sure that we aren’t the first people to tell you how important cardio is for your health. Aerobic exercise strengthens your heart and lungs, reduces your risk of many life-threatening diseases, and keeps your metabolism pumping. Just like strength training, cardio training releases endorphins which lower stress, anxiety, and depression. Not to mention, you’ll sleep like a baby!
We might be partial, but we think that spin classes are the number one way to get your cardio workouts in. Since cycling is low-impact, it’s great for those who need a workout that is gentle on the joints. It strengthens your lower body and core while giving you a powerful cardio workout. Plus, indoor cycling can be modified to a variety of intensities, so it’s absolutely perfect for all levels!
